Brie Larson’s Emotional Reaction To Suiting Up As Captain Marvel, And Shutting Down The Trolls

With the release of the first trailer for Captain Marvel earlier this week, Marvel Studios has finally given the public their first look at Brie Larson as Carol Danvers with many different looks. While we knew what she was going to look like with the leaked photos from the set and the subsequent exclusive to Entertainment Weekly (Which you can see HERE if you haven’t), we hadn’t yet seen her in action, but that’s all changed. We’ve now gotten glimpses of her abilities, her power, and the different looks she’ll be sporting in the film.

It was a long time coming for fans of the Captain Marvel character, but even more so, it was a special moment for Larson as well. With the trailer amassing over 109 million views in the first 24 hours and topping all trends across social media, we can say it was a good day for everyone involved in the film. Brie took to her Instagram to show her excitement, even though she may have been a little coy…

Although the release of the trailer and the excitement that followed was special, could you imagine the thought of being transformed into a superhero? Larson spoke to Entertainment Tonight to explain what it was like seeing herself in costume for the first time:

“I was trying different pieces on. Then when I finally put it all on together, I was just staring at myself in the mirror and I did get emotional…The first time I put it on I was like, ‘I’m like a Disneyland character! This is crazy!’”

Most of the reaction for the trailer was positive but like anything on social media, there are going to be detractors. Luckily, the fans were able to put the trolls in their place in hilarious fashion.
